The Golf and I by Gaetano Santonocito (Idr Department Chairman)
I had been playing golf for 20 years, but I discovered the existence of the FIGD only in 2005, thanks to Roberto Caia and Danilo Redaelli.
I was surprised: I direct a halfway house for disabled, but I couldn't imagine that even golf was played by disabled athlets. So I decided to accept the invitation by Caia and Redaelli to make a try at our centre.
After 6 years we have a group of golfers that each Tuesday train at the Golf Monza; they created the ASSOCIAZIONE GREEN GOLF MONZA and the compete in several tournaments (they won last year the Special Olympics in La Spezia).
So, when President Redaelli asked me to be the new Idr Department Chairman I accepted with great pleasure.
