With The Handy-Am Formula, Disabled and Ablebodied Golfers Play Together
Italian Championship per disabled players: on the 36 holes green 14 teams composed by disabled and ablebodied athletes. Among them Andrea Calcaterra, totally blind.
On June 24 and 25, 15 golfers will meet in Fiano, near Turin, on the Golf Club La Mandria, to play in the Italian Championship for disabled players, organized by the FIGD. They are: Alois Bacher, Vincenzo Curtoni, Alessandro Giacomelli, Antonio Mandich, Roberto Molina, Livio Morosi, Mauro Salvato, Edy Scalvini, Raffaele Staurino, Alberto Terren, Franco Venier, Antonio Vicari, Giancarlo Vicario. Among them Chiara Pozzi Giocosa, who won the British Blind Open 2009, and Andrea Calcaterra, a champion even before become blind because of a hillness.
