Call Them Good, Not Special by Gabriele Villa
Tomorrow and the day after, on the La Mandria course, in Turin, there will be a terrific event: the Italian National Championship for disabled players. Teams will be composed by three players (Handy-Am Formula): a disabled player and two ablebodied golfers; they will play Medal - first category - and Stableford - second category.
These are the FIGD golfers that will compete at the Championship: Alois Bacher, Andrea Calcaterra, Vincenzo Curtoni, Alessandro Giacomelli, Chiara Pozzi Giacosa, Antonio Mandich, Roberto Molina, Livio Morosi, Mauro Salvato, Edy Scalvini, Raffaele Staurino, Alberto Terren, Franco Venier, Antonio Vicari, Giancarlo Vicario. Among them Chiara Pozzi Giocosa, who wins the British Blind Open 2009 - totally blind category. You can read all about the Championship, on the FIGD website www.federgolfdisabili.it.
